Screen won't auto-lock when spotify is playing music

I have an iPhone 8 and when I am playing music the screen won't auto lock, the lock screen remains on with the Spotify music bar on it. If i don't remember to manually turn my locked screen off then it remains on while i listen to music and my battery drains. 

I am also having issues with the listening bar still being on my lock screen doing this when im no longer listening to music. 

Can anyone help! its so annnoying
