Scrobbling local files/playlists issue

My Question or Issue

For the past week or so when I create a playlist using local files, it will not scrobble, and I've never had this issue before. I'm a music reviewer, so the convenience of being able to load up files to a playlist as well as using Spotify's diverse library is an ideal choice as opposed to other ways. I've already disconnected scrobbling, logged out of the App, and everything in between to no avail. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.
