Scrobbling to last.fm not working

Hey, 

So for the past few months my Spotify mobile app has suddenly stopped scrobbling songs to last.fm. 

The solutions that I have tried so far are a) logging on/off last.fm on the Spotify app b) switching the preference for scrobbling on/off on the Spotify app c) turn on/off offline mode on the app. Nothing seems to bee working and I am at loss as to what else I can do.

Has anyone else experienced this as well? Do you know what the problem might be and/or how to solve it?

General information: I have an iPhone 6 with the latest update installed and the updated version of the Spotify Mobile app. I don't have the last.fm app on my phone.  Scrobbling from my computer (Spotify to last.fm) seems to work fine. 

Would really appreciate help!

Hi motstand!

I also use Last.fm daily so I have run across a few of my own disconnects. 

One question in your troubleshooting - did you update your password with Last.fm and then sign back in on your device?
Last.fm has had a bug in the past where it required you to log back in to pick up scrobbles and resetting my password did the trick.

Also, I switch between my phone and computer too for scrobbling and usually it doesn't pick up scrobbling when I do jump from devices.
To get around this, I make sure that I restart my Spotify app on whichever device I want it to scrobble from and then check the Last website to make sure it actually connected and is scrobbling. This can also happen if you are heavily mobile (in and out of car connections, off/on wifi networks etc).

Ah, Bethany, you're a life saver! I logged off last.fm on my computer as well as my phone, resetted the password and logged on again. And it worked! '

I'll be more observant of changes in the future and try restarting the Spotify app if anything goes wrong again. Thank you again!
