Search within playlist doesn't work with third party keyboard

I am using GBoard and when you tap the search field within a playlist the keyboard pops in and instantly pops out. When you tap the search field again it still doesn't bring up the keyboard.

That's because Spotify thinks the keyboard is active.

Temporary solution: Scroll through the tracks which makes the keyboard 'inactive' and tap the search field again.

This is a known bug. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future update.
