My Question or Issue

Siri on the Apple Watch to play a Song on Spotify no longer works on the watch after the latest OS-Updates (to 17.1.1 and 10.1.1). It worked before, works still on the iPhone directly and Siri on the watch works for all other apps.

I tried restarting the apps, reinstalling the apps and recoupling my watch to my iPhone.

Any ideas what I can do?

I am still getting "Spotify hasn't added support for that with Siri" every time on my Apple Watch. It used to work. It's been broken for about 6 months. Frustrating.

Troubleshooting steps

• Reinstalled Spotify on Apple Watch
• Toggled Siri support on/off for Spotify in iOS settings
• Restarted both iPhone and Watch

I feel your pain on this. I first posted in this chat back in November 2023. Pretty embarrassing on Spotify's part that this still isn't resolved. I have since started using Apple Music in addition to Spotify. I like Spotify's UI better, but at least Apple Music's watch app works for Siri commands. 

Spotify please fix this issue and help out your Apple Watch fans.

I have a different issue. When I activate Siri on Apple Watch, and I ask to play an artist or song, my apple watch only replies that “you have to proceed on your iphone or ipad”.

Even when my Iphone is unlocked and connected to my watch, I get only this reply by Apple Watch. Before, it just used to start playing the artist on my iPhone. This seriously limits apple watch spotify functionality.

OK, I'm running IOS 26 and WatchOS 26 latest beta builds. Spotify is working fine and even it's working ok for streaming music when away from phone (on a run for example on LTE BUT I can no longer use Siri to change music or play anything. It basically says "Something went Wong Please try again later."... All other Siri commands to other apps working just this no longer works. Tried removing the app and reinstalling on both phone and watch. Even reinstalled both watch and phone but issue persists. Is this a known issue with iOS 26? If not please signal it to developers.
