My Question or Issue

Spotify runs extremely slow on both windows and IOs for me, making me think its some kind of account issue. What I have tried;

1. Clearing Cache
   1. No effect
2. Clean reinstall
   1. Will fix temporarily, comes back after hours/days
3. Offline mode
   1. Fixes the problem indefinitely, but as soon as I turn offline mode off its back to the slug
4. Turning hardware optimization off/on (windows only) 
   1. no effect

Welcome to the Spotify Community! Let's see if we can find a way to remedy this.

Have you noticed this in a specific section of the app: Home page, Your Library, scrolling through particular playlists, etc.?

Since the issue is shared across platforms, it might be related to your network. It's worth switching to another Wi-Fi network to see if that helps - feel free to ask someone to create a mobile hotspot for you to connect to. If you're using a VPN, I'd suggest disabling it as well to see if it makes a difference.

On the desktop app, something you can try setting the Proxy type to "No proxy" by following these steps:

1. Click on your profile picture at the top right corner and select Settings.
2. Scroll down to "Proxy Settings" and change the Proxy type to No proxy.
3. Restart the app.
   
   

If possible, you can also ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your device to see if the issue persists there.
