Song previews aren't working

I'm not sure what the exact term for it is, but in the app when I press down on a song or playlist, a short clip of the song is played (like a preview). However, recently I'm unable to do that; the song either just starts playing or nothing happens at all. The app was updated on the 28th, which is around when this problem surfaced. Was that feature taken off? What would be the benefit of that?

They removed it on purpose.

Do you know why? It seems like such a weird thing to remove, like what could possibly be the benefit of removing it. Sorry if that sounds aggressive, I'm just confused lol
