Songs not playing / randomly stopping

I am having issues with Spotify stopping songs in the middle / not moving on to the next song / not starting a song in the beginning. So every time I'm listening to a playlist I have to physically click for the next song every other song. This occurs whether I'm on wifi or LTE.

I read a post about this same problem earlier and the solution was to turn of "download" on the playlist.

Two issues with this:

1. The reason I use Spotify Premium is so I can download playlists and listen to them "offline" (as advertised) and not use data.

2. Turning off download doesn't help.

I wanted to start a new post and see if anyone else has any new solutions.

That doesn't sound quite right.

Have you tried reinstalling your app? If not here's a step by step tutorial.

First time ever it's happening to me also just like KFlake describes. I'll try the delete and reinstall, see if that works....and then redownload the 1k+ songs all over again, but I suspect its not going to solve this and that this has to do with the most recent software update and is beyond a users control.
