Songs play out of order in playlist. Screenshots inside!

Songs play out of order in playlist. Screenshots inside!

So something strange that's been driving me crazy over the past 10 days or so. It's difficult to explain without showing someone in person, so please bear with me.

I use my "Starred" playlist as my default playlist to dump all my random music into. I add invididual songs to it, and I also add entire albums to it.

When I listen to this playlist, I always listen to it in order by MOST RECENTLY ADDED, and I never use shuffle. So I am always listening to this album in chronoligical order by the most recently added songs. That means if I add an entire album to the playlist, it will add the entire album in its correct order to the playlist, and that should be part of the chronological order of songs in this playlist.

However, over the last 10 days or so I have noticed a different behavior.

When playing through my Starred playlist, if I have added individual songs one by one, they will play in the order that I added them, which is correct. HOWEVER, if I have added an entire album to this list, when Spotify gets to this album in the playlist order, it will start playing the album songs in random order, skipping songs from the album, mixing them up, and/or then skipping past the album all together to the next set of individually added songs in my playlist. I have only noticed this behavior for instances where I have added an entire album at to my Starred playlist.

See the attached screenshots for examples. I have two albums in my playlist as examples where this is happening. The two albums are: "The Weeknd: Starboy" and "Incubus - SCIENCE"

Here is how the screenshots are ordered:
(THERE ARE 2 ATTACHEMENTS, WITH 4 EXAMPLES TOTAL)

LEFT PANE - You can see the ablum songs listed in my playlist, with the songs in the correct order of the album and how they should be played
MIDDLE PANE - You can see the "Now Playing" song art to display which song I'm playing from my playlist on the left pane
RIGHT PANE - If I click on the top right icon of the "Now Playing" screen to show the "Up Next" list of songs, you'll see that Spotify is either skipping songs from the album, or has them very out of order. This list of "Up Next" songs SHOULD MATCH EXACTLY the order of songs in the LEFT PANE screenshot of my playlist, however Spotify is skipping/shuffling songs within the album. Shuffle is NOT activated.

This only seems to be happening in this playlist when the playlist gets to an album that I've added. The individual songs seem to be playing chronologically fine.

Please see the attached screenshots.

Here are my specs:
- Paid spotify account
- iOS 10.2.1
- iPhone 7+
- I already completed deleted and re-installed the Spotify app on my iPhone after doing a reset on the phone.
- This is NOT happening on the desktop application. Only my iPhone app.

Look at my last comment. It's annoying, but works for now until the Spotify team fixes it.

Exact same problem, so frustrating!! This should be fixed real soon, we pay for this service...

One thing that worked was creating a new playlist and dragging all the music from the old one that gets automatic shuffle, it worked at first but after a while it started happening with the new playlist again.

Come on Spotify, help here.

So, i'm new in this community thing, does Spotify really reads this? It's really bad that this hasn't been solved for a long time, we pay for this service and all we can do is write on this forum? Not good..

I have this issue with audiobooks, rather frustrating when trying to drive and listen! This is an old-ish thread so I'm disappointed that no-one from Spotify has solved it yet. Will review my subscription if it's not solved soon.
