Songs playing out of order

I'm new to the spotify community so forgive me if this has already been asked, but I'm having an issue with my spotify app on my iphone in that it plays songs out of order without being on Shuffle. I have a playlist organized by artist, and if I start it at the top it will randomly jump a few songs down (in the same artist), then if I click on one of the songs it jumped over, it puts a song that should've been played before it next. I've already tried logging out and back in, deleting the app and reinstalling, and haven't had any luck. I'd be grateful for any suggestions!
