Hello,
I have the latest Spotify version (1.8.0.244) on my iPhone 5 and my computer (0.9.14.13.xx). They are both connected to the same WiFi Network as I only have access to 1 anyways in my apartment. When I open the Spotify Connect feature on my iPhone app it does not detect my computer's Spotify even though it is already open on both devices. My computer does detect my iPhone under "Devices" but I don't see my computer under my iPhone application. I'm guessing this could be something to do with firewall, permissions, or whatever?
Am I doing anything wrong or is this feature still not working properly? What troubleshooting steps can I take in order to get it working?

You can now control Spotify on your computer from your phone:

If you want more control, connect is fully integrated into the new beta desktop app. From the beta desktop app you can control what's playing on your phone from your computer. This control of both ways will be coming to the desktop app late this year or early 2015.
