Spotify Crashing Iphone 11

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps crashing on my after roughly 45 minutes. I have wiped the cache and completed a re-install but it is continuing to happen.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

If you've done a clean reinstall per this Guide and the app is still crashing try the following:

• Disable Battery/Performance optimization for Spotify
• Try playing music via a different network
• Create a new free account and see if you get the same results there

This will help in narrowing the cause of this down.

Alex, none of these remedies resolved the issues. This has only occurred over the last 3 months. It only happens on my phone, and i have no issues with Spotify crashing on my laptop.

Also can i get clarification on the disable battery performance? It appears i have to do that for the entire iPhone and can't just single out Spotify. That seems detrimental to the entire phone.

Thanks for the reply.

Battery Optimization or Performance optimization processes on your phone can hinder the functionality of the app, and can be a cause for it crashing.

Can you try to disable this entirely and run a clean reinstall of the app?
