Thanks for the reply. Does this happen only when the AirPods or some other output device is connected or also when just playing from the phone? Does it only happen when you open an external link or does it occur in other cases as well. If you have noticed any specific pattern as to when the issue occurs, let us know.

Just to make sure this is not related to some damaged app files stored on your device, we'd also recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article to see if it makes any difference.
It would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.
Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We want to make sure we got all the correct info. This only happens when someone sends you a Spotify link. You open it and then go to an artist profile and try to play their 5 most popular songs. Is that correct?
If not, could you send a detailed description with the steps you must follow to replicate the behavior? If possible, send another video where we can see the behavior from the beginning. Additionally, if you use the app without opening a link, do you have any issues?
On another note, we recommend disabling Lower Power Mode and enabling Background App Refresh from your device's settings.

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared, it was really helpful.
We tried to replicate the issue on our end based on the video, but the app behaves properly after opening a link. So taking this into account, would you mind checking on a different device (if possible an Android), using your own account, to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
Also, to continue investigating this case, could you confirm if this happens with any link you tried (song, album, playlist, podcast)?
Lastly, would you mind checking if the top 5 songs work properly if you haven't opened a link before? This will give us a better look at the issue.

I just tried it on an Android cell phone with my account and the problem doesn't appear there. It only happens when I open a link on my iPhone. If I normally go to the top 5 of an artist without opening a link first, it doesn't happen.
It doesn't matter which link I open, the error always appears, it's not just for a certain song or artist..
If the link is a podcast, it doesn't happen. only with music

We've already forwarded your report to the relevant team. Could you let us know if this happens when you open links from the messaging app on your phone or if it's just happening when you open WhatsApp links?
If it happens only with WhatsApp, make sure to send over the exact WhatsApp version as well.

We can confirm that the right folks are aware of the situation and are currently working on a solution for this issue. We don't have a specific date for this to be resolved, but we hope it will be as soon as possible. In the meantime, we'd recommend looking at the artist's top five outside of the links.
We'd also recommend having your Spotify app updated, so you don't miss any improvements coming your way.
