Spotify connect constantly disconnects from Amazon Fire TV even after setting it as a favourite

My Question or Issue

I'm playing music through the iPhone or iPad Spotify app and using Spotify Connect to listen on an Amazon Fire TV device. This is the only device I'll ever want to listen to while at home, so I set the Amazon Fire TV device as the favourite device.

The issue is whenever music stops playing for more than a minute or so, and the Spotify app is closed, the app doesn't remember that it was playing on Fire TV.

I'd like the app to just remember for Christ's sake! Every time I need to go to the Devices menu on the iPad or iPhone, select the Fire TV favourite device again, wait until it connects, and then press play. It could be the Spotify app on the Fire TV disconnecting.. but if I don't touch the Fire TV, it still disconnects and causes needless device selecting again.

If a device is set as favourite in the Spotify connect devices, it should always try and connect to that device and listen to music using it.
