Spotify connect keeps jumping to next song and doesn't play anything


Spotify connect stopped working on my internet radio from Numan (Numan ONE). When starting to play on my mobile phone it simply jumps to the next song without playing anything on the device. It keeps on jumping as often I press play on the phone. I tried reinstalling the app on the phone, resetting the device, unconnecting the radio, using different mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android phones). No change. What can I do to make this work again?

Thanks for posting in the Community!


This issue may to be connected to your Numan ONE device and its network settings.
In this case, we'd suggest the following:

  1. Open your radio network settings
  2. Look if you can find any DHCP / IP / DNS settings 
  3. If such are present, turn DHCP off and put a static IP with a new DNS:

It's not exactly what I did but fiddling around with DHCP made it to work in the end even though I don't really understand why. It is now back to DHCP and the same settings I had before but it started to play as usual. Thanks for the reply!
