Spotify does not play on locked screen

If I lock the screen on the iPhone the music simply stops playing. It only plays if the screen is unlocked (regardless of the app being opened btw)

Hey CixD!

Do you have a PIN or Pattern lock feature enabled? If so, does this still happen with that feature disabled?

Either way, try carrying out a clean reinstallation, because this shouldn't be happening.
