Spotify doesn't remember the last played song (and position) in CarPlay

Hi,

I'm not sure this is a bug or just a missing feature. I'm transitioning from Android to iOS and I've noticed a fundamental difference between the Android Auto and CarPlay implementations.

When using CarPlay, Spotify doesn't seem to remeber the last song (and album) I played, even id the app was left open. If I plug the iPhone, then open spotify and click Now Playing all I get is three big buttons and nothing plays.

It's quite frustrating to look again for the album and song i was listening while I'm supposed to be driving home.
