My Question or Issue

I just recently solved an issue with the remote feature with spotify on gear s3 not working which was fixed by downgrading spotify version on my phone. however, now that this feature is working, i was wondering... can you actually choose a song while being in remote mode? All i can do is click on a playlist and i can either shuffle it, or go through each song one by one in order. if i stream through wifi on the watch, there it actually lets me pick an individual song I want, but not in remote mode, i click a playlist and it just plays it instead of opening it and letting me choose a song. why? am i missing something, or is that just how dumb the remote feature is made??
