Spotify mobile wont play tracks

Ok so I had to restore my ipod and when it did it messed up my mobile spotify library locally. I have been listening to these tracks that are local on my ipod for a while now. However now they are greyed out and tells me to sync. I can listen to them on spotify on my computer I just want to know why I can't on my ipod

When you say iPod, is it an iPod touch?

yes it is an ipod touch but that doesnt work i have tried that and i have re tranfsered songs into spotify on computer but it jsut says pending
