iphone 5 battery ridiculous battery drain

Is it just me, or does the battery on iphone 5 when using the spotify app (even with offline playlists) just drain extremely fast....?

I upgraded to premium today but when I go back to spotify on my iphone it denies me access to anything premiuim. I logged out, restarted the app, re-downloaded it and nothing.
