Spotify on iphone not connecting to vsx-930

Hi!
I found a post about this topic but there seemed to be no way to continue that thread which is why I'm posting it here!
I have a pioneer vsx-930 and spotify connect had been working like a charm until a couple of months ago (rough estimate). Now I can't connect with my iphone or spotify on my iMac. They are all ln the same wireless network, I have reinstalled spotify on my iphone and at the moment of starting the app it connected as it should to the reciever but only for a second or so before it disconnected. Airplay and bluetooth works just fine.
What's the fix for this?
