Spotify on ipod stops working.

I have listened to Spotify on my ipod for the last 12 months but now it has stopped working.  Spotify is still loaded and oftend it will play the first 2-3 mins of a track when it is first switched on but then stops. Spotify still works normally on my ipad and iMac. I have tried reloading Spotify on my iPod but this has not made any difference.
