Spotify's UI is getting in my way. Help?

Spotify's UI is getting in my way. Help?

Every time I use Spotify I get so unbelievably frusterated at the absolutely backwards UI. This post is seeking help on specific issues, but I would also feel better just knowing some of my perpetual frusterations when I use this service are shared by others.  If anyone knows, can someone please comment on how to address my below issues? I may not be seeing things correctly, or I may not know about available options - I've only recently switched to Spotify from Rdio. Or, if no one has solutions to the below issues, I would feel a little less frusterated just to know that I'm not the only one being totally pissed off by these things.

1) How is there no option (on the iOS app or the desktop app) to clear the play queue? And why is the play que limited to a certain number of tracks (*tracks*! not even albums!) I've learned to never use the queue because if there is anything on this list I cannot listen to an album/playlist in full without one song ending and then the next (completely unrelated) song on my up next queue starting. This totally interrupts the ordered progression of album or playlist tracks.  Spotify seems to have no notion of album continutiy.  How do I work arount this?  For example, I recently accidently added about 80 tracks to my play que - now I cannot remove them without going individually *one by one* and clicking them and saying "remove". And note, this only works on my phone. I can't even find a remove function for this queue on the destop app.

2) Spotify's iOS and desktop app menus are so confusingly embedded that I can never easily navigate to a particualr artist of interest. It seems like I have to first navigate to my library artists and then search for an artist I'd like to listen to. Then, after realizing this artist isnt yet in my library, instead of simply asking me if I'd like to do a whole-site search for the artist, I have to navigate all the way back to the topmost directory and do an artist search outside of my library.  Why isn't there a connection between my in-library artist search and any outside of library artist search I'd ilke to do?

3) For some reason spotify refuses to connect to my facebook when I would like to search for friends.  It is connected to my facebook in that it has access to my information and profile picture. And I have, outside of Spotify and in facebook, granted all needed permissions to access information like friends lists. But the Spotify desktop and iOS interface still cannot pull my friends lists from in-app.  It doesn't even give me an error message, just crashes when I ask it to search for friends.  AND it seems like the only way to identify non-facebook friends is to (1) already know their specific Spotfy username and (2) type in some crazy command line crap like "spotify:user:username" in the search field. Way to make that non-intuitive, Spotify!

Even as I type, this message field keeps randomally physically shifting up and down on my screen as an automatic "autosaved" box pops up and then goes away and then pops up again, so I'm misclicking all over the place.  It feels like every aspect of my interaction with Spotify's user interface is annoying the living daylights out of me. Apologies if I sound notably whiney. I just would appreciate a useable service, given than I am paying for it. Am I missing something in these above issues that could mitigate the level of annoyance I keep encountering?  It feels like I'm on office space trying not to smash that printer to bits.
