Spotify stops playing after 1minute

Solved!

Spotify stops playing after 1minute

Since you guys wouldn't give the other once a helpful answer I hope you'll finally take your te and listen/read this.

So for 2weeks I've had the same problem, my tracks starts playing but stops again at 1minute, and it doesn't stop in a way that it isn't synced, there just the music that stops coming an the play button is still there (as if it's playing normally).
I've tried:
Reinstalling spotify
Restarting my iPhone
Synced with my computer
Restarted my wifi/Internet
Used offline playlist (all tracks fully synced)

So where is the real problem my dear spotify crew? I've tried all of the stuff you've told me and others. Nothing helped anyone of us. I'm so furious I could probably throw my iPhone out of the window, I miss my daily music. Don't ignore this problem like I've seen some other posts getting ignored.. It's a great concept that you're having with spotify and it's just truly sad that my spotify havnt been working properly for about 2weeks.

I have the same problem on my iPad. (Don't know about iPhone as it's broken at the moment.) Nothing but the mp3-files I've dragged into Spotify works. Otherwise the music stops after ca 1 minute.

Very frustrating.

Have the same problem on my iPad. Have the latest iOS and updated the Spotify app yesterday from AppStore! And it's also impossible to download for offline playlists.

Hi! The universal Spotify works fine on my iPhone4 with iOS5.

But when I installed "Spotify For iOS 4" (version 0.4.26) on my 8GB iPod Touch (2nd gen) with iOS 4.2.1 it got the same problems as described in this thread. Songs play for a some minute and then Spotify exits. (Some other forum post indicated that internal memory may be consumed until it crashes.) Any way, this only happens (for me) on the iOS4 version of Spotify. (Frustrating, since I just got the iPod docked to my stereo to be able to use Spotify that way...)

Swedish premium subscriber.

Have the exact same problem and it started with the latest update of Spotify for ios5 (iPhone). Songs play until around 1.32 and then stop, or wont play at all. Can we get some help from the company itself please?

I have the same problem here in the Netherlands. Every song on my iPod stops after exactly 1 minute and 38 seconds. I have had a premium subscription for a year now, but since two weeks, it's useless.

If you ask me, I think it's a software bug.

Hi everyone - We're certainly looking into this for you. Could you please all confirm the following:

My iPad/iPhone model

Eg. iPhone 3G, iPhone 4S, The New iPad, etc.

Device’s Operating System

E.g. 3.1.1, 4.1,5.1.1, etc.

My mobile Spotify version

E.g. 0.5.5

Also, let us know if you're doing anything specific when this happens. Are any of you navigating outside of the Spotify app when this happens?

Finally, if you haven't already, please be sure you've on our latest iOS release (0.5.5): http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Announcements/bd-p/spotifywelcome

- New ipad

- 5.1.1

- 0.5.5

I am not navigating outside the Spotify App!

/Mattias

Iphone 3Gs, ipad2

5.1.1

0.5.5

Not doing anything but watching the minute marker to see how long until the song will stop.

 😞

Model: New iPad.

OS: 5.1.1

Spotify version: 0.5.5.23.g3ea51c3a

Not navigating outside Spotify when it pauses.

Hi,

I have also had this problem for the last month or so. It just stops playing while I am doing nothing.

New iPad

Spotify version: 0.5.5.23..

iOS 5.1.1

Works fine on on iPhone and computers.

iPhone 4s
iOS 5.1.1
Spotify version 0.5.5.

No other open apps, only using Spotify.

The most dissapionting thing is that while so many of us have the same problem, probably everybody who have updated to 0.5.5 ( just look at your ratings and rewievs in the app store) Spotify only says "every system is up and running" on their page. The lack of them coming out with a statement onhow long this will take them to fix, makes me conaider to close my premium account and try the competition!

Hi everyone - It'd be great if you could also try restoring your IOS system in order to resolve this issue.

You can find full steps right here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

If you haven't backed up your device already have a look at this site first: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

I have rebooted my iPod Touch 4g (version 5.1.1.) after deleting Spotify and clearing the cache of webbrowser Safari. (As instructed by somebody else on this forum).

After reinstalling Spotify, everything seems to work fine, at least until now.

So if you haven't already tried this, I suggest you do.

Not everyone who has this problem will visit this forum, of course. So a simpler solution would be much better.

I have this same issue. Plays ok on my computer but not on my iPhone. Track stops playing for me about 25-30 seconds in

iPhone model

iPhone4

Device’s Operating System

5.1.1

My mobile Spotify version

0.5.4.13

I've had this issue for the past couple of weeks and it's very frustrating and means I am currently paying a montly fee, but not getting the service I am paying for. I hope this is fixed soon.

Thanks

Dont wish to be rude but i dont think that i should be have to reboot both of my entire devices ( with my luck something will go to hell and ill loose everthing) just to be able to play the music ive paid for. So if this is the only solution ill have to stop my subscription until its solved.

I do strongly agree with YoYo.

If you look at the rewievs at app store you can see that 99% of those who updated have the same problem! But ok we are all humans even the programmers at Spotify, its ok to make misstakes if you correct them! But sadly Spotify isnt saying anything about when it will be fixed, or if they even intend to fix it, leaving us all in uncertanty. The suggestion that this is our fault and we all should reinstall our IOS is risky and riddiculus and should not be requied for a service you pay for, you could loose all your contacts ect!!

My Spotify app on my iPhone stops every song after 1 min 30 secs... It's really annoying. Can someone help?

Thanks 🙂

First of all, try closing the application down from the multitask menu, and then opening it up again. Then, head over to the Settings menu, and then change the streaming quality under the "Sound Quality" from it's default. This should hopefully get tracks playing in full again!
