Just restarted my iPad, and I've played through three songs now without it pausing. So that seemed to solve the problem. Well done, PlanAtDust!
For all the iPaders out there..try this, it has worked on mine when nothing else has.
1. Delete the app
2. Turn iPad off
3. Hold down power button and "front and center" button at the same time for a few seconds
4. An apple logo will appear, give it a second and then your normal screen will appear
5. Re-install Spotify
6. Give it a go and see
I just listened to a 4:32 song all the way for the first time ever on my iPad!
Just about to try turning my phone of and on again (kind of like the ITcrowd) I never turn the thing off, kind of forget you can do it.

I did a reset of the phone then it worked. I first shut down all background apps then I hold down the home button and power button for 10 seconds. ea made a phone reset.

I have upgraded my Spotify to Spotify Premium tonight and trying to listen the music on my Iphone. I get up my playlist, however, when I try to play a song, it would not start. If I try to start in the middle of the song, the song will be playing 15 sec before stopping again. On the pc, this is not a problem.
Some clue what to do?

Have you tried restarting your iPhone? That's proved successful for users in this thread.
Restarting my iPhone seems to have solved the problem.
I would recommend making this solution more readily available, it's a simple solution, but a lot of people don't turn their phones off very frequently.

i cant believe it is march 2013 and i'm reading all of these things from 2012...they still havent fixed this? i got to this thread from another of many threads, it had a link that said 'problem solved', it took me here but i've yet to read of the actual fix.
i'e reinstalled.. put it in 'shuffle mode' and restarted and Spotify still quits after 1 minute.

I just had the same problem after returning from UK to Sweden. Once connected in my car (in Offline mode) the app only played the songs 1:24 - 1:30 then stopped. It was possible to fast forward to 1:35 and then it continued for 90 more seconds.
I turned off all the apps running and restarted my phone and now it works.. Hopefully it will stay like that.

I'm having a similar problem. iPad 3 and same problem on iPhone 4S. music streaming on extreme stops for a pause every 5-10 seconds. sometimes it just stops completely. occasionally, i get a period of 20-30 minutes where it works ok. but usually not.
my internet connection is fine (can stream hd video no problem from multiple sites). spotify works fine for me on desktop app high quality.
i have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions: restarting ipad, deleting safari cache, hard reboot, reinstall. nothing has helped.
this is really annoying. anything else to try here?

I have exactly same problem (Spotify 0.6.4.2) on my iPhone 4s. I have reinstalled the app but it still does not work. I do not have the problem on my iPad, though. I am getting really nervous with that - as a premium account user I expect that such situation will not take weeks to be solved. I do not have time to scan whole community help, I'd rather expect Spotify team to reply or/and solve this issue.
I'm experiencing the same problem: music stops after 90 seconds and I have to fast forward for a couple of seconds so that it plays again. Same happens after 3 minutes. And with every new song.
Tried everything I found in this forum: reinstalling, changing bandwidth, shuffle etc.. nothing worked. Quite depressing.
I have an iPod and I live in Germany if that helps. On my MacBook, everything's perfectly fine... That's not enough though.

I have deleted the Spotify App from my iPhone 5S five times and re-installed it and each time the same problem occurs with every track freezing at approx 2 minutes. If a track is less than 2 minutes it plays to the end but it is not possible to play a subsequent track. Any ideas?
Not to sound like complete A-hole but have anyone "tried to turning it off and on again"? (the iOS device that is)
