Spotify stops playing when connected to external device and app becomes active

Hi,

my issue only happens when I'm connected to an external device. In my case it's a Denon Ceol N9. iPhone 7 with latest iOS.

Spotify stops playing music in the following scenarios:

  - put app into background or go to any other app and go back to Spotify again. The music stops and it's not connected to my device anymore. If I start the music again it starts to play it on the phone and I have to connect to the device again.

  - lock phone then unlock phone - same thing happens

Is this an issue only with Denon or affects other external devices too?

I just tested with Amazon FireTV, it does not have this issue as an external device, so it seems it's the Denon CEOL N9 integration.
