Spotify switches to my phone when I get out of the car

I play Spotify in my car through Apple Car Play. When I turn off my car, Spotify displays a play icon on my phone. If I accidentally touch the icon, like when putting my phone in my pocket, Spotify starts playing through my phone speakers. I’d like Spotify to just turn off when I turn off my car.
