Spotify very slow/not working

I have spotify premium, in the US, Iphone SE, IOS 12.

My spotify will often freeze and not allow me to interact with it. This means that even if I exit out of the app and delete it in the list of running apps, it will still be laggy.

A song will be playing and I want to change it, but I can't because spotify is nonresponsive. If I swipe up and use apple's method of changing songs, it still will not work. After a while of being nonresponsive, the app will crash. 

Another problem is that it will randomly pause several times in a row even when playing a dowloaded song.

I have over 2GB of free space on my phone.

Please help.

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps. I'd also recommend updating to iOS 12.1 as it's the latest version of iOS currently available 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
