Spotify volume much lower than every other app on iPhone 8 Plus

My spotify volume is significantly lower than every other app on my phone. When in the car, for example, I have to set the Google Maps voice to the lowest possible volume, because when she chimes in at normal volume, she's so incredibly loud since my volume has to be all the way up for spotify.

Or when just using headphones, I'll be listening to music on the max volume, and it's still incredibly low. Then click over to a different music app and my ears are blown out if I forget to lower the volume.

I'm in the US with a premium account and an iPhone 8 Plus and I'm using wired headphones via the iPhone dongle. (Same with in the car, plugged in via usb)
