Stops playing after 10 seconds even after total reinstall, reset of wifi, chromecasts, AirPlay etc

Stops playing after 10 seconds even after total reinstall, reset of wifi, chromecasts, AirPlay etc

Hi

I’m running Spotify premium ver 9.0.32.638,

I have tried everything now with re-installing, deep delete, logout 2 times quickly after each other, reset network, router etc etc.

It goes fine on e.g a Bluetooth speaker, headset etc, but the moment it needs to go via WiFi (chromecast and airplay in this case) it stops playing after 10 seconds. Doesn’t matter if it’s downloaded or not. Any other services (non-Spotify) where airplay and chromecast are supported, works spotless.

what’s wrong here?

Hey there @Frankbankfarmer! Thanks for reaching out.

Could you give it a try with another Wi-Fi network if possible, or a different account just to make sure it isn't account-related and let me know if it makes any difference?

I'll be on the lookout for your reply!

Hi Mateues,

It seems like it is a one particular network - the one we use on a daily basis at our house. Just tried with the very same account, same setup this weekend with chromecast audio etc in our holiday home, and here it works spotless - as we use to know from our home network.

Thank you for getting back to me @Frankbankfarmer!

I understand. In this case, it would be worth trying to reach out to your internet provider to see if there's any troubleshooting that might help you. It could also help to restart your router if you haven't already, just to refresh the connection.

Let us know how it goes!

Hi Mateus,

That doesn’t help, meanwhile I have changed internet provider, changing the router at the same time etc, and it’s still the same issue.

Thanks for getting back @Frankbankfarmer!

Can you double-check if you experience this when you're streaming directly on your devices (phone, PC) on the same network without using the Connect feature?

Also, could you let me know if it started happening after a specific event, such as an update of the Spotify app?

Keep me in the loop!
