Touch Preview on iPod Touch 5g

I recently got the Spotify iOS app on my iPod Touch 5g (using iOS 8), and have been trying to use the 'Touch Preview' function. However, I can't seem to get it to work and I don't know why. I have seen the YouTube video demonstrating the feature, but it still won' work. Any suggestions?
