Unable to start Spotify using CarPlay

Is anyone else experiencing an issue where if you try and start Spotify using CarPlay (ie. the car's audio system) that it won't start and asks you to "Log in to use Spotify"? (very tricky when you're driving!)

Problem doesn't occur if Spotify is already open on the phone - only if you try and open it through CarPlay.

Try updating to the latest software iOS 12.1. And also update Spotify to it’s latest version.
