Up Next feature won't stop

Solved!

Up Next feature won't stop

How do I stop Up Next feature.  Accidentally used it and can't stop that playlist from playing next.  It interrupts other playlists

This is "solved" ??? Are you kidding me? Right now on my android device :

A full album from a terrible band is showing up in my queue, under "next from TerribleBand". And it's playing one of the songs (which is listed in the 'queue').

Whatever I decide to play, this terrible album will get played after it. Regardless of whether I'm cooking, making love, driving, etc...
Now - how to I get rid of that terrible album? There is no way to remove anything from 'next from'. And if I select them and move them to the queue, in order to remove them from there, THEY ALSO STAY IN 'NEXT FROM'.
This is beyond stupid. It means that no matter what else I do, Spotify will INSIST on playing some garbage I never asked it to, when my requested list or album is done. This has RUINED some very nice moments in my life and made me almost drive off the road in anger.
Is someone paying you to force your listeners to listen to things they never asked for?

Hey @vze2xy76,

Have you tried the suggested solution? Just log out and then back in again.

Besides, here's how you can manage the queue in your Android app:

  1. Tap the dot next to a song to select it.
  2. Select REMOVE to remove the track from your queue.
Tap ADD TO UP NEXT to play it next.
  3. Press and hold  to rearrange tracks. Drag them into the order you want to play them.

Add songs to your queue

You can add songs to your queue from anywhere in the app.

  1. Tap the three dots next to a song.
  2. Select Add to Up Next.

>> The queue resets when you quit Spotify.

Let me know if this helps!

Your reply is utterly UNhelpful. Did you read MY message? You offer no insight into how to remove anything from "next from", which is apparently where the unwanted music comes from.

Further - "log out and log back in"??? A:) I literally don't even know how to do that. I can close and reopen the app. And please don't even bother telling me how to log out and back in again, because that's a copout and an absurd answer, like telling me to reboot my computer 3 times. B:) how is it so hard to recognize that you're missing a basic feature? Why won't anyone at this company simply say "you're right, that shouldn't be so hard" ... or "you're right, WE SHOULDN'T BE FORCING MUSIC ON YOU".
Have you ever wanted to clear a queue with dozens of songs in it? No, or you would understand the frustration here.

It should not be necessary to log out and back in, in order to switch OFF the play next mode. ( SUCKS BIG TIME !) Come on Spotify. This calls for an improvement.
