What has happened to my display? HELP!

Today my display, when viewing the app, has changed from a "split" view, with the search pane on the left and the "active" pane on the right to a single full screen view.

I profoundly dislike this, it is as if 50% of what I was getting from the app has been taken away and I am back to some 1990 web version 2.1 interface.

Can this be fixed? It really feels cheap and rubbishy compared to the way it used to be.

What really baffles me, is that in a day and age where you are not by far the only music streaming platform anymore and you got competition breathing down your neck, you really don't take your clients seriously.

with emphasis on the word clients because a whole lot of folks put down hard earned money to be premium members. And all you can say in reply is that you will put our feedback through to the appropiate channels? Come on, you're not a robot to say exactly the same line on every single reply you got. How about acknowledging that you guys really messed up. At least admit that this was't the step in the proper direction.

I've been plodding along with Spotify and really enjoying it until this morning when it went pear shaped! Forget the "We've taken your views on board but what we've done is to make things sooooo much better for you" message and either bring back the old display or give us a way to choose or it's off to Pandora for me.

I'm a relatively new user to Spotify but the experience is certainly going from bad to worse. I use an iPad in my car and haven't been able to get album art to work offline through any of the revisions. Now there's so much blank space on the screen I have no idea which buttons connect to which song because they're so far apart.

How can you ever have thought this was a good idea?  Do you not have some form of quality checking or feedback process before general release?  I'm sure not a single person would have approved of this change.

I spent some time researching if I was actually using the correct app, I couldn't believe this would have been an intentional decision.

In true Spotify style nothing will ever be done about it, so off to another provider I have to go.

This has been by far the worst update to the app ever. What are new features worth when navigation, usability is compromised for the sake of consistency across devices? Tablets and phones serve different purpuses, and apps should take advantage of their characteristics to be more practical in their respective environments.
