When I click "next song" the app stops

I have my iPhone in a phone cradle and linked to my car via USB. Since a few weeks ago, when I hit the next button on my steering wheel to change tracks the song pauses and won't restart unless I unplug my USB cable from my car or tap my phone (which I 100% don't want to do as I'm anti using the phone when driving and not just because of the new law).

Initially I had fixed it by just hitting "shuffle songs" but now that isn't helping anymore. It was also fine when I used to tap the next button on my phone instead of my steering wheel but even that doesn't work anymore (I tried this out before I started my car journey)!!

I've also got the most updated version of the app and I have an iPhone 7.

Has anyone got a solution as Google doesn't? I'm not prepared to pay for membership every month if I can't use my app.

Hi @elliefer, have you tried reinstalling the app on your mobile? First thing to try. Let us know if that helps.

I've just tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling and the same issue still happens..
