Won't download tracks unless open

Spotify won't download any playlists, albums or podcasts unless my phone remains unlocked and the app stays open. I've been a subscriber since about 2012 and have had the family plan for about 2 years now, this is a complete deal breaker. I can't just set things to download and put my phone down. Is this a fault or is it how the app now works? Cause I'm pretty sure it didn't used to be this way?

Hey! The problems mainly casued by the change of iOS.
Thus I suggest you enable background update in the perference of your iPhone.
