cannot upgrade to premium in the app (iphone 4s ios 9)

I tried finding a way to upgrade my account to premium within the spotify app on my phone, and that seems to not be possible anymore. Am I missing something? Please help if you can!

could you clarify your issue? 

as i understand it, you haven't yet upgraded to premium, because you've only tried through the ios app?

another interpretation could be that you've upgraded, but you don't have premium on one device.
