followed spotify friends do not show up on followers list

Hi, i hope someone can help me. I have family premium and im having some trouble. I clicked on SEARCH and entered my partners spotify username, it came up, i clicked on follow and then, NOTHING!!!! If i then look at my profile it shows im  following 4 but if i click on it it only brings up 3 artists im following and not the 4th which is my partner.

  I then went onto his phone to search for me and it showed he has NO followers, even though i seem to show me following him on my profile, and i cant find my username in his SEARCH.  I have tried to look in settings incase i had something setto dont share or something but cant find anything that should stop me sharing with my partner. Im not happy, especially as we pay for the premium service every month. It doesnt even show his profile under my following list on my PC, it still shows im following 4 people but in the list it is the same as on my phone.
