i cant get my device (iphone 4) to show up in spotify via wifi or usb

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

Your iPhone 4 will need to be synced via WiFi, the USB sync is only for local file iPods. 

Few suggestions: 

- Make sure you are running the desktop client as Admin on Windows (File > Exit Spotify, Right click on the desktop icon, select "Run as Administrator")

- Make sure you are logged into the same account on both devices

- Make sure that you have either allowed Spotify through Windows Firewall, or try completely disabling it temporarily.
