Hi there,
I use Spotify connect to connect my personal laptop (PC A) to a computer that has speakers (PC B) that plays the music, it works pretty well. I also have Spotify on my iPhone, which is generally closed whilst this is happening. I've had Spotify for a number of years now, but the following has been happening for ~2 months:
During the period when I'm using Spotify Connect - when I'm on my iPhone occasionally a volume bar will appear, that appears to show the volume of Spotify on PC B...
If I volume up/down on my iPhone it will change the volume that's playing on Spotify, affecting the sound output of PC B.
If I'm doing something on my phone, watching something or playing a game, it will jump to the volume of Spotify (normally max) - which is an inconvenience to say the least.
This has no impact on PC A - it doesn't change the volume of my laptop.
I understand if I'm actively using Spotify on my iPhone, where you can see the volume bar, this could be useful. But the volume of Spotify shouldn't override/replace the volume on my iPhone.
If I make sure Spotify is closed/off on my iPhone, it still happens.
I turned off Settings > Devices > Devices Lock Screen - what I saw in another thread.
Is there a fix for this?
Thanks,
Sam
