iPhone Not Being Detected By Devices

Hi everyone. I purchased Premium Spotify yesterday with the student discount. I downloaded the Spotify application on both my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. I tried to sync my phone on spotify to get all my music on my phone, but my iPhone won't detect under the devices in Spotify on my Mac. I've tried all of the solutions under "My mobile phone is not showing up under devices" except for "Enable UPnP on your router (you may need to check with the manufacturer about how to do this)" because I would need to talk to the IT department at my college to do this and I'm not sure if they are willing to do it. Please help, this is so frustrating.
