My Question or Issue 

Although iCloud backup is open on my iPhone device, the songs that I have downloaded before are not automatically downloaded. I have to download the songs again.

Is this usual?

Hope you are doing great!

Spotify saves the downloaded songs locally and you can't use them with another app other than Spotify. This means that the songs you decide to download can't be saved on iCloud or somewhere else 🙂

Please read this FAQ to about troubleshooting issues with your downloads.

If that doesn't pay off, I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked, could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
