my music keeps stopping playing

hi, i have a spotify free acc and recently when i’ve been listening to music on my ipad using earbuds with the screen turned off, the song will just stop playing after a minute or so. when i open my ipad, it goes straight to the home screen instead of the spotify app, but the spotify app is still open in the background (if that makes sense). this has been happening for about a week, but in the past half an hour it’s just been happening non-stop. i’ve tried signing out of my spotify but this just keeps happening. if someone could tell me how to fix this that would be great 🙂

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. 

Just to confirm, do you experience the same if you have your iPad "forget" the earbuds, restart both the iPad and Spotify, and then you pair the earbuds with the iPad again?
