spotify won't play music

hi I have premium, yet whenever I try to stream songs I do not have downloaded (on data), then they play at first but stop after 7-10 seconds for no reason (the main pause/play button still says it's playing for some reason). I don't have low battery mode on, I have the phone unlocked, and everything. not sure why it does this but it's frustrating. my data is fine too
