what is bitrate from Apple TV output when streaming music

I want to stream spotify from my ipad to an apple tv, but i'm not certain what the audio signal/bit rate is when coming out of the apple TV via the optical output. I suppose this is a question for apple, but I figured this group might know

well, i think it depends on the music streaming quality you pick. Normal Streaming quality having a bitrate of 96, high being 160, and Extreme being 320.

thanks michael, but I'm curious if 320 is going into the apple tv i don't think 320 is coming out of the apple Tv as a pass through, but maybe there is no conversion in the apple device but I suspect there is
