So I'm listening to a Radio, a song comes up that I want to add to a playlist, I click on teh album art and select add to playlist select the playlist then BAM music stops, dissapears. I'm rocking a W7 with plenty of memory (8core) NO reason for it to crash.
Also went to play Que to add the song Still crashes
If you can help it would be appreciated cause I'm getting angry.
[Edit - Title for clarity - Mod]
Solved! Go to Solution.
It has gotten worse over here.
Playlists are useless at the moment, now it is every single song that I ad.
Boom, bye bye Spotify..
Please, please, pleaaaase fix this ASAP. Ever since the new update was installed my Windos 7 64-bit crashes when trying to add any song to any playlist!!!
Since this is taking time, could you please roll us back to a previously stable version, while you work on the issue? I've been lacking basic functionality in Spotify for several days now and it's getting frustrating.
Thanks everyone. We're passing all this useful information on (more info on how to get this in an earlier post here) - it helps identify what exactly is happening.
We're be grateful for your crash logs, too. If you could send us an email and let us know your case reference numbers here, we can give more detailed instructions on how to attach the crash dump files.
Edit: We now have a sticky with details on troubleshooting and how to get the crash dump files right here.
Thanks as always for your posts and patience here. We've been gathering related cases (same result when adding tracks to a playlist) over here. If you'd be able to send us a crash log, please follow the linked post and send us an email. We'll pass it on to our team who will resolve this.
Edit: This post was from another thread - now merged with this one.
No .dmp file in the Spotify folder on windows 8..
I've now merged two posts together - crashing when adding to playlist and crashing when deleting from a playlist. We'll continue to gather information on this and keep you updated. Please continue to post here for both issues.
Yup, i just restarted it. But now it won't crash. As soon as it does i will send the dmp file.
I have the dmp files, how can i sent them?
This is happening to me too, I've only noticed it when I'm playing a current song from the artists screen and I drag it into my playlist while it's playing, in that scenario it's been crashing almost all of the time, very annoying.
Seems to be ok if I drag ones that are playing from radio or from artists screen when that song isn't playing.
I'm on Windows 7 and it's only been happening the last few days.
I have the same problem on Mac OSX 10.8.4
Okay, now... Where can i send these files? I really hope that this problem solves as soon as possible...
I've filed a case for this: 00924368. I've emailed the support agent the console log and crash files, and version information for spotify and my OS. Hope this helps.
Likewise! Very annoying!
My case reference number: 00924651
This is turning into a nuisance!
It would be nice to have one of the Spotify developers at least respond to this thread to let us know you are working on it. A 26 page thread seems to me is a major issue affecting just about everyone.
has it started up again? I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times to no avail.
