Discover Weekly - Finnish Songs

I love Discover Weekly, but it is rapidly becoming worse and worse each week due to an ever increasing amount of songs in Finnish.

There are quite a few Finnish artists in my playlists, Nightwish, Children of Bodom and so on, but not a single song in Finnish. But in my Discover Weekly I get nothing but. Now I wouldn't mind it so much if at least the songs were in roughly the same genre, but no.

I just wish there was some way to limit the amount of languages you get suggestions in.

Thanks for bringing this up and welcome to the Community.

The Discover Weekly playlist is based on your listening history and that of other Spotify fans with similar tastes, so it should get even better the more you use Spotify.

If you don't want those songs in Finnish showing up anymore, you can try using a Private Session whenever you're listening to similar artists or songs 🙂

But this part does not work, the finish songs keep adding up and outside of discovery weekly atleast I never listen to finish songs. So something is rating the "discovery weekly" songs way to high compared to the normal lists and there is no way to "dislike" them to get rid of them.

Yeah I have the same issue. Listen to some metal from Finnish bands, and for some reason that gives me random Finnish pop music in both Discover Weekly and Release Radar, really seems broken.

I'm joining this one. My discover weekly was super-annoying, in the sense it had some good stuff, but continously was interrupted by Finnish. Finnish isn't even an indo-european language - so Finnish RAP is completely and utterly worthless to me.

The ONLY thing I did - except for listening to a bunch of what I normally do, was to play nightwish a few times a couple of weeks ago.

Are people who listens to A-ha a few times getting Vømmøl and Åge Aleksandersen in their playlist?

I have the same issue. I don't listen to finnish music outside of Discover Weekly.

I have the same problem, and i don't even listen to finish bands, afaik. I went to finland once on a cruise, and now i'm spammed with Finish music.
