My Question or Issue

Hey guys,

I have an event organization and we also make parties. I wanna create a Spotify playlist of tunes we will play there so I created a second account with the name of the brand. Is it possible to switch between accounts in a Spotify app for example like on Instagram or Youtube? I have my personal account(premium) and an account of our party brand (classic spotify account). I wanna switch them without logging out on my phone so I can create a playlist in the easiest way.

thanks for help

Hey @Mäsokombinát, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

That's a great question.

As laid out in Spotify's terms of service, Spotify is to only be used for personal, non-commercial use and not to be used in a public setting. There is some more information about this here

Additionally, it's not possible to switch between Spotify accounts instantly through the app. You would have to log out and log into the other account to switch accounts. That is a great idea, however, and you can create a new Idea about this here, and I thank you for sharing your feedback about this.

Thanks Billy,

I understand we can't use it at public. At events we got artists. Playlists are for people at home to warm up before events.

That's sad we can't switch accounts in app. I create a topic for this idea.

Thanks for your help!

Ah okay - that should be completely fine.

And you're welcome! I have sent you a link in my last reply to the Ideas page to submit and create a new Idea about this and I've also passed your feedback on to the right folks.

Any resolution here? I’m also interested in toggling between my two Spotify accounts. I have one for me and another for my children that doesn’t have explicit music and to prevent princess music from infiltrating my taste profile. Both are on my premium account - I would like an easier way to switch between them on one device!

Hey @ABC-123,

Thanks for your post in this thread. There was an Idea posted about this here but it looks like Spotify is looking into implementing it right now. Nonetheless, I will make sure to pass your feedback on to the right folks.

Have a great day!

As a partial workaround, you can log into one Spotify account in the app and another account in your device's web browser. Also, if your device has multiple web browsers (Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.), then each of them can be logged into a different Spotify account, so you are limited only by the number of different web browsers on your device.
