3 month trial????

I recieved spotify premium for christmas this year in the form of gift cards and I was told that I would recieve 3 months free trial before I had to start paying for it so I got a 3 month card and a 6 month card making it a year worth of spoify premium and i typed in my code for the 6 month subscription and I didnt get the 3 months for free. I havent typed in my 3 month code yet but i still am frusterated because now I will only recieve 9 months of premium when I should have gotten a year. sorry if this was really hard to understand but i need help! is there anything i can do???

Hopefully I can explain what's happening.

The 3-month deal is $0.99 for 3 months of Premium, but it cannot be claimed if you have previously used any Premium subscription (even a 7-day free trial). So if you have already typed in one of your codes, you won't be able to purchase the 3-for-1 deal 😞
