My Question or Issue

I have set up a Premium account using gmail on my computer and with chosen name. However, I wanted to change the mail on this account from gmail to icloud and give a new account name, but accidentally, when i Was logging in, I created a completely new free account on icloud with a new name. I would like to cancel this free account and in the Premium account I would like to update the mail from gmail to icloud and change it to a new account name, which I used by mistake on the free account.

You can close your newly-created Spotify Free account at https://support.spotify.com/close-account/ 🙂

It can take 14-30 days for the email address to become available again.

Lastly, display names aren't unique, so you can already change your display name on your existing account to the same as on the newly-created account. Just follow the steps at https://support.spotify.com/us/article/username-and-display-name/.
